24/7 Prayer

Dear friends,

The missionaries of World Gospel Mission Uganda have felt led by the Lord to be more intentional in spending time in prayer for the country of Uganda, the ministries in Uganda, and for the ministry needs in surrounding countries. We know that many people already partner with us in prayer. We are so thankful for each one!

We feel certain we should not only become more intentional about prayer, but that we should also begin a 24-hour, 7-day a week, year-long prayer chain. We have taken 24 hours and divided it among the WGM Uganda missionaries. Each missionary is being asked to find 7 partners who would be willing to pray during 15-minute time slots each day. We want to be certain that there is someone praying around the clock. We are asking that you prayerfully consider if the Lord might lead you to become a part of WGM Uganda’s 24/7/365 prayer covering. We know that we cannot do it alone, but together we can see God move in our own lives and the lives of those that we minister to every day.

We also want you to know that the church we partner with here in Uganda, Africa Gospel Church, is joining us in this exciting endeavor. At least 52 AGC churches will be taking a week at a time and covering it 24/7. Together, we hope to experience God more in 2008 in Uganda and around the world!

We will be sending out a monthly prayer update to help you pray more specifically. If you know of someone who already prays for us or would like to pray, but does not have email, would you please contact them and let us know? We could send out the updates to pass on.

Here are the times that we have been requested to fill. These time slots are for 7 days. If you cannot do it for 7 days then perhaps you can join with your neighbors, prayer group or Sunday School class to fill the 7 days. For the sake of consistency and clarity, we have chosen the Eastern Time Zone in the U.S. Please try to figure that into your planning.
